WHOM DO YOU SAY THAT I AM ?
Matt 16:15; (He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am?)
Jesus Question To The Disciple
Jesus first asked the disciples, Who do men say He is? They said, “Some say thou art John the Baptist, while some called you Elias and other Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”.
He then asked the disciples, “Whom do you say that I am? Simon Peters answered and said, Thou art Christ, the son of the living God.
This testimony can’t come unless it’s revealed by the spirit of God.
Christians have different kinds of testimonies about whom Christ is, but His true personality can only be revealed to those who have the spirit of God, because no one called Him Christ expects the spirit of God to reveal, and there is no one who will say that He is accursed with the testimony of the Holy Spirit.
The Pharisees and Sadducees saw Him but couldn’t comprehend who he is; even though He speaks about Himself and His father, they weren’t able to understand because He wasn’t revealed to them.
They did that to him and nailed him to the cross because their eyes of understanding were darkened, which makes them doomed forever.
It’s better to know Him according to how He was revealed in His word before the time is over, for some people know that too late.
Who Is God To You As A Christian?
As a Christian, this question is still for you: whom do you say I am?
If you truly knew Him according to how He was revealed, you wouldn’t have disobeyed him and chosen the broad way that led to hell.
You would have done whatever He asked you to do in whichever circumstances you find yourself.
Lack of knowledge about who Christ is is what makes Christians behave the way they do now; they despise him and dishonor his word.

Had they known that none of His word would go unfulfilled, they would have honored His word secretly and openly.
Some go to church, but their knowledge about God is retarded and not different from unbelievers; a Christian once told me that Jesus is not God; He is just the son of God; it’s because she is yet to enter His sanctuary.
God Reveals Himself To Those Who seek Him
God hides Himself but only reveals it to those who seek Him with all their heart. Many know Him as a miracle worker but don’t acknowledge him as the God of justice and righteousness.
He wants to reveal Himself, but it depends on our readiness to accept who He is.
He revealed himself through His works, but the Pharisees failed to acknowledge him, looking for signs from heaven, which he will never show them, for he knows with all that they won’t still accept Him.
Had Judas known Him intimately, he wouldn’t have betrayed and sold Him for thirty pieces of silver.
He had been with Him for three and a half years but didn’t know Him, for his thoughts are different from those of others.
His thought is for gain and nothing more; this is the situation of people in the house of God.
If you chose to follow Him for gain, you won’t understand his ways. Since some followers found what they’re looking for, that is where there seeking stopped; they were not able to press further to His presence.
If you seek him for apostle whom he is, you will surely find Him; His knowledge is what brings understanding of His way to the seekers. When apostle John saw him as He is, he fell down as if dead.
He is revealing Himself to whoever cares to know; if you refuse to acknowledge who He is, you will worship whatever is lesser than Him. Children of Israel were not ready to learn His way despite the law and the ordinance God gave them; they still went ahead to mould golden calves for themselves in the wilderness and made it their god.
Whom Jesus asked disciples that: whom do you say I am? Peter said, You’re the Christ, Son of the Living God.”.
Some of the people out there called Him prophet or one of the dead, men outside there can call Him whatever they want, it’s our revelation of Him as His people that matter to God, He reveals Himself to whoever seek Him diligently with all their heart.
Our eternity depends on the revelation we had of Him now; it’s only those who acknowledged Him as Lord and Savior that will stay forever in His presence, not those who only know Him as Savior.
If you acknowledge Him as the saviour and your Lord, all you will do is please him and not want to be on His bad side.
The more knowledge you have of Him tells about your growth in the kingdom; He revealed himself to the woman by them well; she went ahead and called all men to come and see Him.
If no one knows him and keeps quiet about his identity, the person will surely announce him to the people around.
It’s inside His Word He revealed Himself; men of this generation don’t know Him because they failed to search the word that revealed Him.
Whoever wants to know Him the more should search the scripture; that is what speaks about Him.
Prayer: Father, Lord, reveal yourself to the people out there and bring them to yourself in Jesus name
