Spiritual blindness is much worse than physical blindness; someone who is spiritually enlightened but is physically blind can’t fall into the pit of darkness, but someone who can see with his two eyes but is spiritually blind will fall inside without knowing, and the fall shall be great.
John 9:39 ( And Jesus said, for judgement I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.)
What a mysterious world we are in, the Bible made it clear that those who see not and agree to their conditions will be made to see, and those who see not and pretended to see will remain blind.
Signs of Being Spiritually Blind
- Somebody who is spiritually blind will move into the darkness of his soul to end up in the pit of darkness. Some have eyes but their spiritual eyes is darken, even partially blind is not different from absolute blindness in the realm of spirit, they walked in rebellion against the Word of God, even though they claimed to have personal relationships with Him.
- They lack understanding of God’s move in their generation that made them always war against the truth that appeared to set them free.
- They asked things from God, but won’t agree with their adversary concerning their sins which he is using to accuse them always.
- When we understand the level of our wretchedness, this is what makes us remorseful and repent of our wicked ways. Anyone who can’t repent despite the message heard is doomed to perish; sometimes it’s the work of God for them to remain that way, so they won’t repent to receive healing for their souls.
- It’s spiritual blindness that makes one see errors in the word of God and prefer to remain rebellious to it; some love to stay in that way by finding error in the message of holiness, so they won’t repent and change their ways.
- These kind of believers put faith in their leaders more than the word of God, if a blind is leading the blinds, it will be so disastrous, not only the leader is in danger, but also the followers.
- If you always argue your way out of the Word of God despite the correction, may be you’re one of the lost and rejected by God, no matter the sacrifice or offering your sin can not be wipe out.
- This is the sign of spiritual blindness, they have ears but won’t hear, they have eyes but won’t see, neither do they understood, for their heart is wax gross and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes closed to instructions, lest at any time they should be converted and the should be healed,( Matt 13:15)
Some have eyes but live in darkness, they may be able to see if light is introduced to them; these are ignorant that need knowledge to operate in the things of the spirit: they are different from those who don’t have eyes but live in the light, they are the type that lives among the brethren and from there go to hell due to their constant rebellious against the truth.
What Are The Causes of Spiritual Blindness In A Man’s Life?
Religion is what blind the eyes of men, and they still follow their blind leaders which they will all end up in the ditch of darkness
Those who are spiritually blind and still dwell where there is the light won’t be able to see no matter the illumination; they will perish in their blindness, just like the Pharisees.
They are condemned criminals waiting for final judgment; they keep on falling in constant disobedience, often and often, they accepted Jesus as their saviour but rejected Him as their Lord.
Most of this leaders don’t know the way, how will they lead others? It’s only the way that lead to no where they take men through, the way of the world and the way that gratifies sensual desire.

Jesus opened the eyes of a man born blind to teach others a lesson: those who agree to be blind should receive their sight and those who claimed to see while they’re blind should remain that way; they never want to learn but remain in their spiritual lethargy and perish in their sin.
If you refused to grow to reach the level of Christ’s stature in the years you spent with the saints; you’ve rejected the truth that was sent to set you free and open your spiritual understanding.
This kind of blindness has rejected solutions just like the Pharisees, who saw God and the Saviour in their midst, but still looked forward for another.
There are many people under the judgement of God, no matter the preaching or warning, they’re not ready to repent, just like Judas.
This is the wisdom of God to those who reject His ordinances willingly, that they should remain that way and not converted, so they can perish in their disobedience.
God says: ” I will be merciful on whom I will have mercy and compassionate on whom I will have compassion.”.
It’s not by power neither by might, but by my spirit saith the LORD; many are called but few are chosen, I wish you’re among the chosen by your attitude to His Word.
All still depends on God, because it’s the Lord doings it’s marvelous in our sights; our own is to tell them, whether they listen or not, it’s their choice; so that our message will serve as testimony against them on the day of judgement.
Prayer: Father Lord, do not let me fall into the categories of those who you have rejected in Jesus name.
