Matt 23:23 ( woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! (For ye pay tithes of mint, anise and Cummins and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith; these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.)
Jesus pronounced woe to the Pharisees who only have obsession to the payment of tithes and offering to neglect the weightier part of the law, which all are necessary in our relationships with God and man.
It’s still happening now when most churches only focus on tithe but neglect the other part, it’s what we must do according to Christ teaching but not to neglected others; all these are important to the development of our relationship with God if we want to make heaven.
There are teachings going on that men are preaching against payment of tithes because of how it’s being abused; this is another error, confusion from the kingdom of darkness to disqualify Christians from making it to heaven in whatever form: you can’t because you’re angry and throw a child away with bath water.
I can’t follow whatever a man of God say and abandon the word spoken by God Himself, the Word is above anyone in the ministry and will outlive every servant of God.
As it’s important to follow the teaching of Christ to be merciful, in judgement against iniquity in our midst, so also it’s very important to give our tithes and offering to God, for us to have treasure in heaven, because that is our permanent home.
Tithes precedes law, Abraham gave tithes even before law was given, so also Jacob promised to give tithe to God, should He bless him with food and rainment in the land of his sojourn.
Even the Bible confirmed that Levi gave his tithes when he was still in the loins of Abraham, this is necessary to keep the work of God progressing, it depends on us to asked God which fertile ground to put it.
If we are to follow the preaching of apostles, we are to giving all of our resources and no one will have more than others, we will all be in the same financial level with others, why can’t we follow the teaching of the apostles if we know tithes issue is of old testament, but our carnal nature won’t accept; but no one who ommited his tithe will make heaven, because they rob God.
Government of the earth collect tax from our income, what about divine institution which is God’s kingdom on earth, how will it progress if we fail to give our own quota to it’s development?
It’s the ignorance of the word that makes some people steal their tithes, God will handle them as thieves and robber, who not only steals from man, but robbed from God.
Don’t because of stinginess towards God and man withheld your tithes from paying it, it will affect every area of your incomes, if you think you’re not paying and you’re surviving financially, you’re definitely paying it to the devil in any other area of your life.
God won’t joke with his words, its human beings that’s taking it with levity, none of His word will go unfulfilled, even if heaven and earth should pass away.
It’s good to balance the teaching of the Bible to meet with divine standards, because God will ask if we gather with him or scattered: whatever we removed out of the law and not teaching others will result in scattering the sheep, and we will surely account for it on that day.
Whoever want to teach the message of the kingdom must have passed through learning at His feet so he won’t misquote Him, it’s what we learned we must teach, half knowledge only produced half teaching and that kind of teaching will produce undone followers, who will be half way to the top Christians, that’s mediocre.
Some avoid the teaching of the law and judgement with mercy to focus on tithes and sowing of seed to satisfy their carnal desire, they see ladies coming to church dressing half naked, some are with trousers and pants on them, they won’t talk because of the offering they will collect, they by their greed nullify the word of God to make it none effective to elevate their own.
Most churches that preached mostly on tithes are so worldly to the extent that they cancelled the law of God to promote indecency in their midst.
They promote what God hates and elevate the desire of their flesh, what will you say with the ladies that are not covering their head in the place of prayers? how do they want angels to react in their midst? but only focus on tithes and offering, this activity is being promote by Satan, to negate the law of God.
Many preachers avoid teaching men about God’s mercy, because they’re not merciful themselves, their workers are afraid of them, because they are more merciless than the government in relating to their workers, while claiming to work for God.
The teachings of Christ in this passage doesn’t mean we should neglect one to embrace others, where is judgement against sin which Christ despise? how do we act to our fellow brethren in terms of showing mercy, even if they don’t deserve it? we should try to keep all the law without omitting others, that’s what make our relationship with God and man perfect in His sight.
If the fruit of our labour in the kingdom is not drawing men closer to Christ, definitely it is scattering.
What some ministers are doing in terms of tithes is indicating the level of their covetousness in the ministry, they only love themselves not God to support their reckless life; they turned down the law of God to satisfy their selfish desires.
Their judgement is in God’s hand, we should not because of them cancel what God ordained to the detriment of our souls
Those who always preach tithes because of their desire are not different from the Pharisees, the way God will handle little sin is also the way He will handle the greater one, all sinners will end up in hell.
A little disobedience is also rebellion, whether in tithes or in weightier matters, total submission is the antidote for our name not to be blotted out of the book of life.
Whatever anyone preach to bamboozle you, if you’re not paying your tithes you won’t make heaven, you’re among those who steal from God, hell fire is the consequences…
This is the testimony of those who experienced hell that God redeemed by His mercy, if you don’t believe in their testimony, surely you won’t believe in whoever God send from heaven to notify you.
Prayer: Father, Lord, give me your spirit that will submit to your law without argument, in Jesus name, amen.
