Christian Legacy To The Upcoming Generation

Proverbs 22:6 ( Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it)

There was a time when Joseph was known throughout the land of Egypt, that his name carried power and authority; and there was also a time when no one knew Him and his name no longer rings in the ear; this turned the children of Israel to slaves where they were first honoured.

There was a time in the world when Christians honoured God and passed it over to their children, and there is still a time when we left our children to make their decisions and choose the kind of god to follow.

During the time when human rights took preeminence, Christians had failed in their duty to train their children in the way of God; let them abandon Christ for the world.

Western nations brought Christianity religion to Africa; they were deeper into the knowledge of God that their currency testified to it.

The unfortunate thing is that they neglected their children and refused to carry them along in that way, leaving them to do according to their heart’s desire, which works totally against the knowledge of God and His teachings that say, “Train your children the way they should go now so they won’t depart from it when they grow up.”.

Since they don’t know God and don’t want to hear about Him due to the negligence of their parents, they are now legalizing what God hates, which opens way for Satan to harvest them young into his kingdom and make mockery of the faith they once had in God.

It’s necessary to train our children in the way of God; heathens put their children in their way so it’ll be difficult to draw them out in the end; that’s what made evil run from generation to generation of those who hate God and don’t want to know His way.

This is what Satan copied in God’s word, and that is why it’s difficult for them to change their gods since the children were carried along in their worship, even if they claimed to be born again it will still manifest in their worship due to their culture.

This is unlike Christians where we missed it, we are not doing well in this area and it makes the enemy make mockery of our faith, for he knows that it might run through our generation.

We are claiming to serve God, but our wards are doing another thing in the camp of the enemy without raising eyebrows against it.

We are satisfied with the way our children are searching for gods they can serve in the midst of the haters of God. We dress for the Lord’s glory, but our daughters are dressing to glorify the enemy.

We go to church, leaving the children at home to search for the god they will serve in their way; how do we want Christians’s legacy to continue this way?

Many families are without a family altar where they can commune with God and learn of his ways; they wake up early to go on their daily activities without consulting God.

Even though we claim to be Christians, lack of relationship with him will deny us some rights in His kingdom.

Turning back of the Western nations didn’t start in a day; it started the day they didn’t teach their children in the way of God; many churches abroad are filled with old people; where are the children?

This signifies that they didn’t carry their children along all the while they claimed to be serving God.

Even if they claim to serve God diligently, they will still give an account of how they train their wards.

God gave us law to pass onto our children, and from them to their children children which must continue from generation to generation if the lord tarries; as to continue His legacy in the land of the living, if we refuse to do so, it only means we failed God.

It’s so annoying how some ministers of God children behaves in the society, remember this was what led the children of Israel to demand for king when the children of Samuel refused to walk in their father’s footsteps.

We’re thinking they need freedom to choose, they make God not important because they saw it in our behaviour that if God is so much important, why won’t we include them in His service?

But this kind of freedom is what led them to choose the way of the world against the knowledge of God when it was presented to them on the platter of enjoyment.

If care is not taken, Africa will soon follow suit if we refuse to carry our children along on the way to spiritual freedom that can only be found in Christ.

Men are searching for freedom, but the kind of freedom they find is the freedom that gives them peace in sin; this is human right which permits them to sin against God without feeling guilty.

It’s until we decide to continue in the way of God while including our children, that our faith can last from generation to generation; it will be difficult for the enemy to remove them from the watch of the Almighty if they continue in the way we passed onto them.

It’s difficult to dispose of the stronghold of Satan in a family because the devil includes the children of his devotees in his way; that is what makes it difficult for nations to change their gods, as it’s entrenched in parents, so also in the life of children: remember, each family constitute a nation.

It’s hard to find a youth going to church in abroad because their parents want them to find God by themselves instead of introducing them to God at younger age; this is the consequence of their nonchalant attitude in training children while Satan is busy catching them young.

Many generations don’t know Christ over there, how much more will it be worsen in the future?

Had they known God, they wouldn’t have introduced all manner of perversion that turned to rebellion against His holiness.

Had they known that it was God who made them and gave them law to follow in His word, their conscience would have pricked when His gospel was being delivered to them.

Had they known what God loves and knew what He hates, they wouldn’t have leaned on their own understanding to find a way; they would have kept speaking about God in their mouth, even if it was not fully in their heart.

They may have money or riches like Sodom and Gomorrah of that day, but that’s not the guarantee of their future; the future depends on the knowledge of God and abiding in His Will because, without God, there is no future for them.

If we want to hand over Christian legacy to our children, to know God more than we do, we must teach them the way of God right from their foundation, so they will keep it in their mind not to sin against Him and grow in it to meet the stature that God demand of them.

The Presence of God supersedes wealth and everything that man may possess on earth; this is what is eluding some developed nations, which makes them end up in spiritual bankruptcy.
