1 Cor 1:18 ( For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God)
There are people we started this journey together that have been diverted by the voice of satan to different paths, they think they’re on the right path that’ll lead to the presence of God, but unfortunately they’re on the way to hell.
All pilgrims to heaven that are on the way to the presence of God must pass through the cross before moving forward; that’s where sins are dumped, worldliness is abandoned, and forgiveness is received; if the road you’re taking is not involved in these, definitely you’re on the wrong path.
Satan is standing by the road side pointing men to another way that is suitable for their flesh, but dangerous to the soul.
This is the origin of the new found gospels that gratify the flesh but are not of help to the growth of the soul; it’s the mixture of the world with the spiritual, which resulted in compromise, making it poisonous to take because it led to the removal of God from the equation, as God isn’t ready to accommodate His enemy; the Ark of Covenant can’t stay in the same apartment with Dagon.
The way to the cross is the narrow way, which will not gratify carnal desire but only live in the will of God. The grace of God is granted to the pilgrims to reach their destination in God, but those who misuse it will have themselves to blame in the end for trampling on the blood that was shed to set them free.
It’s not all who started well that end it well since they couldn’t study their guide, which is the Bible, through their journey; they miss the way while thinking they’re still on the right path till they meet themselves at the gate of hell in the end.
The signs you’re on the right path are that if you’re decreasing and Christ is increasing in you, you’ll know if you’re on the right path if you die daily to the flesh and lose affection to the things of the world and only desire to be in His presence and study His ways to prosper your soul.
Way to Calvary ignite your passion for the lost, no matter how rich or enviable they’re and are yet to know God, it’s only pity and prayerful spirit you’ll have for them not envy, for you to pray their way to God.
Way to Calvary is the crucifixion of the flesh and circumcisions of the heart, we obtain new heart when dumped depraved one at Calvary.
Calvary is where sins are forgiving and we receive justification to press forward. It’s so unfortunate that not all Christians sin are forgiven because they avoid Calvary on the way; they decided to take a short cut to their destination; they’ll know by the time they reach the gate of heaven and are turned back, but it would have been too late by then.
If the curse of Adam is still manifesting in your life, this indicates that you’re yet to visit Calvary, if not the odour of sin will find you out in the end to be disqualified in the presence of God.
There are ways that seem right to man, but the end thereof is destruction. This is what happens to different people on the way; they find the way that seems right; it’s the way to compromise and still be associated with the name of Christ; they don’t need to crucify their flesh but carry it along and will in turn speak against their spiritual advancement in the end. No wonder Jesus says,Not all who call me lord, lord, will enter the kingdom of God, but only those who do the will of my Father in heaven.”.
There are different religions that point to different ways, but it’s only the LORD Jesus that is the Way to divine presence, all other roads are counterfeit.
Since Adam fell and left the presence of God to hide behind the tree in the garden to the time they were chased out of Eden, they never relocated back to their former estate.
This resulted in wandering through the earth and meeting themselves at the grave in the end, for the path they took didn’t lead to the presence of God; sin has clouded their minds that they couldn’t find the way. Jesus came as the way that’ll lead through the wilderness of life to the presence of God in heaven. He entered the grave to preach to the dead and lead them out to the presence of God; as of then, none of them know the path to divine presence, but that path is through the crucifixion of the flesh in exchange for the nature of God.
We can’t enter His presence with the nature of Adam; it’s already cursed by God; our defiled nature can’t behold his face.
We need to die for us to live again in the nature of Christ to be accepted by God, it’s only in Christ we can achieve this.
It’s only those who follow him that’ll find themselves where Christ is; this is where they will also be.
Prayer: Father lord, lead me to the right path; don’t let me fall by the wayside in Jesus Christ’s name, amen.
