Matt 11:28-30 ( Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I’m meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
We were created for God and were made to do His will before the fall of our first parents; we failed God and sold ourselves to Satan by rebelling against the knowledge of God, thereby enthroning Satan to rule over us and rearrange our life’s direction to align with his destructive purpose.
We became slaves in the camp of Satan, caged with no way out of his prison.
Many are caged by their flesh; they become their own master, while some are caged by the forces of darkness by bowing to images to replace God.
Some are slaves of religion and human tradition, and some are caged by the world, which is the lust of the flesh with the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Until Jesus Christ came to redeem us and paid the price with His own blood to bring us back permanently to His side, we worked side by side with our enemy to fight against God.
Redemption is a change of ownership; we were once sold to the prince of the world and do according to His will, but now we have been bought over to the Lord’s side to only live according to His will and purpose.
Redemption is not a freedom to continue in sin, but it’s freedom to do the will of God and follow His ways without any interference from the opposite side.
If the devil can’t beat us to this, he will surely rearrange it for the saints through his ordained agents, who preach that we are free to live according to the dictation of our fallen nature: fornicators should continue living the way they are, liars should still continue in their lies, and even thieves shouldn’t stop stealing as long as they confess Jesus Christ; they have removed repentance from the gospel of salvation to make it none effective.
What is now the essence of His death and resurrection if we continue in sin and say his grace should abound? That means the blood of Christ is less effective to overcome the power of sins.
This is called free will to operate deeper in Satan’s will and tighten the chains of the devil the more. How can we be redeemed from Satan’s way and still go back and live in the will of our former master?
We were like a slave in the market square of life, being on display for whoever wanted to have it. Demons are exchanging the captives between themselves to see who is superior among them. Beelzebub had his own captives, so also Mammon, even the queen of heaven with Baal, including Satan, the prince of the world; all captives are in satanic prison.
Slaves are being tossed here and there between masters, which makes them end up in the camp of the strongest one.
You will see someone will be tired of one particular religion and opt for the seemingly better one, but still captives to religion and outward appearance.
It’s only in Christ Jesus we are totally free, not by any religion.
That is why Christ came to subdue other powers and made public show of them in His Cross.
He paid the price of our redemption with His blood; the next step is to relocate to the camp of our new owner and do His will if truly we are included in the deal.
How can we be redeemed and still obey our former master when we are no longer under his dominion?
Our redemption is to bring us totally under the lordship of Jesus Christ and free us from Satan’s slavery; this is what we were created to be since the beginning. You know that no servant can serve two masters?
Our freedom is in doing his will, and outside it is total bondage; it’s not possible for someone to sit on the fence and not expect an arrow from every side.
God has provided for our guide in His word throughout the journey, which we must listen to and obey if we don’t want to go back into captivity again.
This is the process of living in His kingdom that’s beyond the reach of our enemy, under the authority of the living God; anything aside is captivity.
It’s not until we are saved from witchcraft attacks that we are truly delivered; even though the insurance at the cross covers all the expenses, the most important thing is that if we are truly saved, all other deliverance from the wages of sin shall follow.
Satan can camouflage deliverance and change the direction of problems to the ones that will demand for souls in the end, while you think you’re free, not knowing that it’s a change of ownership in the satanic realm.
Jesus Christ says we shouldn’t commit adultery, but you’re looking at your neighbour’s wife lustfully. This is an avenue for the devil to put you back inside his prison till your time is up if you refuse to repent and change your wicked ways, because he is roaring like a lion seeking someone to devour.
Any area we disobey God is an avenue to bring us back to the devil’s prison and start suffering under tormentors.
Becoming a new creature and still putting on Jezebel attire is an avenue for Satan to invade life and use it for his purpose once again.
It’s because we don’t know what new birth means; that’s what made the enemy interpret it for us that will be in line with his purpose; we can only get it clear if we decide to study our Bible.
It’s the Christ yoke that is easy, and his burden is light; all other yoke are burdens and a certificate to hell and the lake of fire.
It’s only Christ’s yoke that’ll bring rest to the souls; the other yoke will only become troublesome in the journey of life.
One of Satan’s yokes is fear: fear of doing things against his will and receiving his punishment; fear of what to drink and what to eat; he is using fear to retain his captives inside the prisons of darkness; fear of how to face Satan’s wrath after redemption; even if he gives confidence in bondage that one is also fake, its when you enter hell that you’ll know that he has been lying to you all along.
True freedom comes by living in the word of God because His word is true; our Lord Jesus Christ has overcome the power of sin and made it powerless to hold us bound again. That’s why when a believer falls into temptation, his conscience won’t rest until he comes to repentance.
We won’t be under the bondage of iniquity because power has been given us to live above sins and trample over its serpent and scorpion, for he has granted victory to us through His Cross.
Prayer: Father lord, let my redemption be perfected in you in Jesus name, amen.
