Matt 7:23 ( And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you depart from me, ye that work iniquity.)
Any service rendered to God in sin is rendered in vain; it will be very unfortunate that day after you’ve done all those things, and the word you will hear from your master is “depart from me, ye workers of iniquity.”.
That very day, you’ll think about all your labour in his vineyard; tithes and offerings paid will become useless.
You’ll wonder how many pastors and reverends you tried to please that made you forsake what matters most.
You will want to reverse the time, but it won’t be possible; this time, you’ll ruminate over your secret and non-confessed sin you tried to cover.
You will think about the insult you gave those who tried to put you right, but your response was, “Don’t judge me.”.
Whatever you’re doing in the vineyard of God without pursuing after holiness will become useless that day.
You’ll remember all the idle words that proceeded out of your mouth; you remember the woman you looked at lustfully who wanted to make you divorce your wife.
You’ll remember the church money you borrowed without refunding it back, even though it was in the power of your hand to do it; all that you said is that “nobody knows.”.
That is when you’ll start shouting, “Oh, had I known?” Why did I worship in vain?
There are Christians whose names are yet to enter the Book of Life with all their service in the church.
Instead of aspiring to seek a way out and strive to put their name, thereby obeying the total commandments, they started arguing about the book.
There are some Christians who are not far from the kingdom but never entered because of their self-righteousness.
Had you known how hell works, you would have left everything to follow Christ; even your family inheritance won’t mean anything to you because all that you desire is your heritage in Christ.
Whoever his name is not found inside the Book of Life lives a wasted life and worships in vain.
He will regret coming to the world and will even curse the womb that begets him.
I wept within me when I discovered the way Satan is deceiving men with earthly glory to collect their heavenly heritage.
What is the essence of gaining the world and losing your soul? That soul you neglected is worth more than thousands of galactic stars.
Souls that cost the blood of the Son of God are what you think are less important.
A soul that Satan is fighting for that he is determined to exchange for the whole world; even if you don’t know the value, God knows, and the devil knows.
If it’s not important to God, why will He release His only begotten Son to die on your behalf to save it?
Also, if it’s not important to Satan, how will he offer the whole world to have it?
Going to church for every service and not aspiring to enter your name in the Book of Life will only result in vain worship.
Remember, as from the day of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffered violence, and the violent are the ones who are ready to take it by force.
Prayer: Father, lord, don’t let my name be erased from the Book of Life; in Jesus’ name, Amen.
