Matt 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest and finding none. Then he said, I will return unto my house from whence I came out, and when he comes, he finds it garnished. Then goeth he, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they entered in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so, shall it be also unto this wicked generation?
All that Christ predicted concerning this generation is already coming to fulfilment, but unfortunately, most Christians couldn’t comprehend what is going on in their midst.
Saints are behaving as if things are normal instead of intensifying their prayers, and this is also part of the prediction.
Jesus Christ compared this generation to a life in which a demon was cast out, and when it remains unoccupied and well swept and garnished, the demon that was cast out, which couldn’t find a place to rest, decided to come back and find that place more comfortable; he went back and brought more seven powerful demons than him and reinforced the territory, making the last state of the life worse than the first.
This is an example of what is happening to our generation in this end time.
Multiple revivals have come and gone; many demons were rebuked and cast out of our churches and our land.
But as we refused to intensify our prayers and secure the place for the spirit of God to dwell, and as we also refused to abide in the Lord’s teachings, it gave way for demons to come and reinforce themselves and bring in more demons to occupy our territories.
Our rejection of the truth has permitted our gathering to be invaded by witches and wizards of the society coming in without repentance, displaying their demonic powers to confuse the saints.
As we rejected the prince of peace to occupy the sacred place of our life, many demons from the pit of hell have been released to make our gathering more miserable and permitted Satan to operate freely without hindrance.
What shall we do when the church, where holiness and righteousness are supposed to rule, turns to the habitation of demons?
Demons have taken over the pulpit and are directing the affairs of the church; they make it more difficult for the spirit of God to operate by their foolish ideology and doctrines.
Most doctrines are from the pit of hell, which prevents the people of God from securing their place in the kingdom and enabling them to press forward to His presence.
The believers of those days in the time of Joseph and Job didn’t have a complete Bible, but they kept the word of God in their hearts not to sin against Him; they will stand against us on the day of judgement; we that are under the grace and misuse it.
Even the men of Nineveh will rise to accuse us in this generation because they listened to the message of Jonah and repented of their sin when they don’t have the word of God that will lead them, but we who are in possession of the word abused it to the detriment of our souls.
This is the generation that calls good evil and evil good without blinking their eyes; they legalise all that God hates and persecute those who stand against it.
Lazarus stood against this generation of evil and covetousness when he was sitting at the gate of the rich man and never coveted his riches, but we are here selling our birthright to obtain the riches of the world.
We turned the word of God upside down to satisfy our fallen nature and trampled upon the blood that was shed to set us free.
Jesus Christ called this generation wicked and evil because we crucified the Son of God, who came to set us free and trampled on His blood to present our self-righteousness before God.
We are looking for signs while rejecting the God of signs and wonders who appeared in our midst.
We neglect the word from the throne of grace to seek miracles; we prefer prophecy to the undiluted word of God and persecute any servant who brings a message of repentance to us.
This is a generation where someone will rise and claim to have the power of God without the fruit of repentance, and they will start celebrating him and reject that solemn voice that is calling from Calvary.
Our restrictions on the spirit of God are what gave legions of demons to operate in our midst, and we decided to make them our leaders.
This is a generation where someone will manifest a spirit without discernment, and we started celebrating him as the power of God.
The Pharisees were seeking signs, but there weren’t signs but only the sign of Jonah’s three days and three nights in the belly of fish.
This signifies the death and resurrection of Christ from the grave; this is where the power of the believer lies.
It’s only those who can believe this sign that will be saved, but unfortunately, this generation couldn’t understand, but only those whose names are written in the Book of Life.
This is the sign that Christians must preach, that is, the power of God unto salvation to those who believe, and it becomes foolishness to those who want to perish.
It’s only the message of Christ’s death and resurrection that can save this generation; this is the message of the Cross that’ll disarm all the demons that are sent from hell because of our lukewarmness.
