James 2:14,17 ( what doth it profit my brethren, thou say a man hath faith and have not work? Can faith save him?
17. Even so, faith if it hath not works it’s dead being alone)
Between faith and work, there is a level of grace given to every believer to do what they believe in Him and His finished works.
It’s the work that accompanies our faith that is keeping our faith alive in him; this shows that we truly belong to His side.
Every Christian has a level of faith which can move mountains if it’s exercised, even if it’s a measure of mustard seed.
Jesus Christ is the faith of every believer; when our faith is hanging on the lord Jesus, grace is supplied in full measure to develop our stature to reach the level of Christ’s standards.
Apostles asked the lord to increase their faith, but Jesus said, if you have faith like the grain of mustard seed, you can move mountains.
The difference between a believer and the devil is that the believer’s faith is backed by His grace; that is what Satan and his demons lack that brings them to eternal condemnation.
They, too, believe in God, and they tremble, but their belief doesn’t make them do as it was written in the Word; their beliefs only make them develop hatred for God and His works.
That is the difference between saints and sinners and makes our righteousness exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees, they say, but don’t do because they lack that grace that’ll make them live above the demands of their flesh.
God measures our faith by the works that follow; if we can put our faith in a lifeless chair and sit on it comfortably without thinking of its weakness, why can’t we rest on the finished works of God and believe in what He says concerning Himself?
Many profess to believe in Him, but they don’t do as he commanded; it’s only those who live according to His will and obey His commandments that God will agree to become His son; those who believe and do not do so will remain in servant quarters.
It’s by grace we are saved; this can only be done by God alone, that grace is the power given to do His Will without complaint, and this is what was endued on Abraham that declared him righteous before God.
Had he just heard Him and not acted on God’s word to leave his father’s house and move to the promised land, or had he heard God and not proceeded to carry out the sacrifice of his only son without arguments, what would have been the testimony concerning him in the word of God?
This is what most Christians are lacking in their walk with God. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, but the grace to live in His commandments is not there.
This is what will separate the sheep from the goat and the wheat from the tares on that day; many are called, but few are chosen.
Grace is the most precious and the most important thing that man can receive from God, this is one of God’s attributes that is released to His people who are ready to follow His Will to the end.
If you can’t do as He says, how do we believe that you belong to the kingdom?
It’s the grace that many believers lack in this generation that makes them live perpetually in the flesh; salvation by grace alone is in doing His Will and abandoning the desire of the flesh.
Jesus had more grace supplied to Him by God to face the terrible punishment on the Cross and the grace was also released to man immediately and the first beneficiary was the man who was hanged with Him and made him be with Christ in paradise, grace of God has been released through Christ that whoever hangs on it will be qualified to be counted as righteous.
Sinners out there lacked the grace of God as the men of God are preaching daily to convert them; they’re not ready to abide in His will; that is why Christians are facing persecution all over the world because the world heard of him, but don’t know Him and not desire to know.
Faith comes before works; before Abraham was circumcised, he was declared righteous by God; after our faith and our righteousness was declared come works that show our faith in Him.
Most believers had faith in the devil more than in the finished works of Christ, and their character tends towards it, which is revealed in their prayers and character; that is why God says that if we truly love Him, we must obey His commandments.
There are confessions about the supremacy of Christ in every gathering, so also in other religions, but their ways of life are working against His lordship; he declared that all who don’t want Him to rule over them should be brought forward to be slain.
What our faith is resting on is the determinant of our spiritual journey and the final destination.
It will be unfortunate that many Christians will find themselves on the opposite side after death because of what their faith is resting on, it’s not resting on the righteousness of Christ nor His blood.
If you believe in Him, you will do what He says; it’s lack of belief that makes Christians pick what pleases their flesh to obey in the word. Had they believed that none of His words would go unfulfilled, they would have tried to be on the safer side.
God is not a man that he should repent or change, if you abide in His word and your faith is resting on His finished work, this is the level that will elevate us to sonship from servant, and many shall be rejected on that day, not because they don’t believe but because they refuse to do the Will of His Father.
What’s revealed about hell is already written in His word; confirmation is made by those who went there, and they tell it to mankind.
We need His grace to understand and obey the testimony of man and what is written in the Word for repentance to take place.
If you can’t obey what you heard and what is written about Him in His word and you find yourself in hell in the end, it’s not by mistake; it only means that you’re among those who are destined for condemnation forever.
He released His grace for everyone but you’re the one who failed to utilise you own.
If you believes in Him as you confess, you won’t do His works deceitfully. You won’t abandon His spirit to rely on your good works, there is nothing good in man it’s inside God that our goodness resides.
