Matt 16:4 ( A wicked and adulterous generation seeking after a sign; and there shall be no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas)
This generation is more after signs and wonders than the time of the Lord to validate the calling of one sent by God.
Despite the miracle signs and wonders performed by Jesus Christ, they still do not believe; they’re looking for a sign that will agree with the corruption of their souls to their detriment.
They were searching for signs to validate their error of worship, but the only sign that Jesus was willing to give was the sign of the prophet Jonas, three days and three nights in the belly of a fish.
This is the sign that the world needs; whoever doesn’t agree with it is not part of Him; no miracle supersedes it.
He died to exchange the corrupt life of man to give His life that is eternal back to man in resurrection; this is the only miracle that man could believe to perfect His redemption; anything added or minus from it makes it adulterous.
This is a sign that’ll bring a sinner to repentance, knowing what Christ did to set him free from the clutches of Satan, the world, and the flesh.
If you can’t believe this sign even though you called yourself a Christian, your repentance is not valid.
This adulterous generation is trying to add things to this, which made it gradually degenerate into satan’s worship; it’s like a woman searching for a strange man to supplement her husband to fulfill her lust.
The adulterous generation didn’t believe in the perfect work of the cross but added Mary and Michael to supplement the Lord and his name to make their worship perfect.
The church brought the worship of the queen of heaven to the church to pull the crowd to the presence of God, thereby turning the temple of God into the temple of idols.
They added the names of angels to make their request answered, thereby diverting the prayer to the realm of the devil; if that prayer is hindered, they will say God is no longer in control, or satan will answer with his counterfeit to be used against them on the last day.
Most gathering placed their leaders in between them and God; he stood as an advocate to usher their request to God and plead on their behalf when the veil of the temple had been turned into two, permitting us to enter the throne of grace to ask for our heart’s desire.
The only man standing between us and God is Jesus Christ; he attained this position by the sacrifice of his blood to intercede for the heirs of salvation.
He is the only one acknowledged by God to sit at His right hand and intercede for the saints to counter every satan’s accusation against humanity.
Adulterous generation is the origin of another Jesus with another gospel, teaching men to go against divine ordinances and still claim to serve God.
They believe in God and don’t look at the outward appearance but only look inside, not knowing what is inside is what is manifesting outside.
It’s the decadent of the heart that is yet to experience the power of the Cross, oozing out for men to perceive and show the rottenness of the soul.
The adulterous generation brought the outfit they used to serve idols in those days to the church while claiming to use it for the glory of God.
Jacob disposed of everything related to idols in his belongings when he was about to meet God on the mount; he knew that God wouldn’t tolerate rivals.
Unfortunately, the church is bringing rivals to the house of God to compete with Him on the altar; this is the origin of Jezebel and the queen of the coast manifesting as angels of light to lure souls into their kingdom.
Instead of directing men to Calvary after their conversion, we introduce them to wealth creation to divert their attention from the way of the cross to Mammon; remember, no man can serve two masters; you can’t love riches and still have any attachment to God.
Spiritual adultery can only be committed by the people of God; unbelievers have Satan as the god of this world, and until divorce takes place, they won’t get along with Jesus Christ.
We are espoused to Jesus Christ the day we give our life to him and repent of our sins, dowry was paid with His blood, and we become the bride of Jesus Christ; he will surely come back to take us to His Father’s mansion in heaven.
How will it be by the time of his appearing to meet us carrying another man’s pregnancy?
The pregnancy of the enemy is an adulterous practice that is going on in our midst. Should we abort it by repenting of the sin before His second coming, or will we leave it to grow and be the cause of death, physical and spiritual for whoever doesn’t want to repent?
We adopted what is not written in the bible, which resulted in diverting our worship to another realm of the spirit; we bypassed the message of Calvary to seek false prophets and teachers for signs and wonders.
This is the antics of the devil to cause distraction on our way to the presence of God and make us fall short of all His goodness and the purpose for which we are created.
Prayer: Father Lord, by your blood abort anything in me that’s related to satan and his demons before you come back in Jesus name amen
