Ignorance is among the most potent weapons of Satan against the church of God, he strategized it to keep men in bondage so they won’t aspire to know more about God than what they’ve known.
Weapons of Satan: Ignorance
Isaiah 5:13 (Therefore, my people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge, their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.)
You can’t drink poison ignorantly and won’t feel the pains; it’s effectiveness doesn’t depend on your knowledge; even though you don’t know that it’s poison, it won’t take the toxicity away.
Most Christians claimed to know God but don’t know him intimately. It’s a thing to know about someone; it’s another thing to know Him. Lack of knowledge of God is what brings confusion into the kingdom of God; those who don’t know him but pretended to know are the ones stopping men from knowing him the more in His word.
Ignorance is what makes some Christians worship demons instead of God; they are aware of the supernatural but not the presence of God in a meeting.
A meeting where His name is glorified but not honoring His Word is not for Him; it’s ignorance that makes Christians remain there and be fed with poison.
Those who don’t know their God will serve things that’s not God; whoever can’t discern His presence in any organization won’t know about His way; the Bible says, “my people perished because they lack knowledge.”.
God doesn’t say infidels, but my people, one can be God’s own and still be ignorant of His personality and not recognize His voice whenever He speaks.
Most Christians study about Satan more than they knew about God. Jesus revealed all that needs to be known about the devil and his activities to the church. Those who strive to know more than what Jesus revealed are venturing into spiritism without knowing it; this is what the devil wants, for it will strengthen his hold over them.
Most people choose to remain ignorant because they are not ready to pay the price of knowledge. If you don’t put what you learned into practice, you’re walking towards mediocrity.
Ignorance As A Weapon of Darkness
Ignorance is when you deliberately ignore the truth to choose lies, like our first parents did and plunged humanity into misery.
Pharisees did the same when God appeared in His person; they deliberately nailed him to the cross to silence their conscience.
We’re in total darkness before we meet Christ; He becomes the light that illuminates every area the moment we encounter Him; it’s His knowledge that illuminates the Kingdom of God; outside is total darkness.
Those who don’t know him still dwell in darkness, and whoever claims to know Him and not know His ways is partially blinded to the truth.
Those who remain in the darkness of religion don’t want their evil deeds to be exposed; that is why they love darkness more than light.
It’s because Christians don’t desire to know more about God; that’s why they were caged inside the prison of a false prophet.
It’s ignorance about God’s character and His nature that made our first parents disobey Him in Eden; even if God was having fellowship with them daily, they are yet to know him, for He didn’t reveal Himself.
It’s because of the fall that made Him reveal Himself through His written Word, but men still don’t know Him or His ways: because a letter can’t save, salvation is in His person; that’s why He revealed Himself through His Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
He is asking you now, as He asked His disciples, Who do you say I am? It’s not the revelation of your pastor that reveals who Christ is to you; it depends on your personal revelation of who you know Him to be that guarantees His presence.
Had we had little knowledge of God’s character and nature, we wouldn’t have to listen to Satan to disobey Him, because he wouldn’t tolerate disobedience, no matter how little.
God revealed Himself, but the Pharisees chose to be ignorant of His presence in the world. His knowledge depends on you now; either you chose to know Him as He was revealed or you turned deaf ears and went the way of Adam.
That’s why the gospel stands as testimony to the world wherever it’s preached, so that no man will have excuse on the day of judgement.
It’s not that men don’t know, but some people choose not to know, and they perish in their ignorance.
The difference between mediocre and real Christians is that real Christians want to put into practice whatever they learned, but mediocre Christians only want to have head knowledge but not put it into practice.
Most people were taught by men but not by God; they learned from the best seminary in the country but not from the best teacher, who is the Holy Spirit.
Ignorance of the will of God has made us exalt societal status above spiritual status; this is a weapon of satan to gain advantages over the people of God, as they’re not ready to go deeper into the realm of spirit but remain with religion; they will never move forward in their spiritual development.
It's the application of the word into one's life that brings understanding of the way of God; until you start practicing what you learn from him, you won't be able to access the realm of wisdom and understanding of His ways.
Seek Wisdom and Knowledge, Depart From Ignorance To Defeat The Enemy
The more you have knowledge of His word, the more you understand His ways, and the more His grace is supplied to press forward to his presence.
God showed His way to Moses but His acts to the children of Israel, because they weren’t ready to know more of Him; likewise, we Christians want to remain as sinners and still want his grace to increase. All sinners are instruments in the hand of the devil; he used them according to his will and purpose.
Had we known that no sinner shall see the face of God, we would have repented of known or unknown sin, deliberate or not deliberate, to be able to see His face.
Apostle Paul desired to know Him the more and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering; this too should become our prayers, including all the children of God all over the world; this is the level we must reach to attain His stature that God desires from us.
