The sermon for today talks about the way of the overcomers. The Overcomers are people who endures to the end.
1 John 3:1 ( Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God; therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not)
Overcomers are not only those who overcome their challenges on earth, but those who overcome sin, flesh and the world; this is the only way to overcome Satan and put his work on hold.
Who Are The Overcomers?
Love is one of God’s attributes that He shared with humans created in His image, to enable them walk in the way of the overcomers.
Satan don’t have it so also his servants, even angels in heaven don’t know it, they act in accordance to the will of God.
The people of the world only possess the counterfeit which is lust, this is love turned sour, including all the agents of darkness.
It’s lust that’s is manifesting in a life that’s yet to surrender to the power of the Cross.
It’s the moment God takes His place in a soul that love begin to manifest openly for a man to be identified with God, no one can achieve it without the God of love living inside of him.
We lust after each other thinking it’s love, it’s when the expectation is not met that we feel offended, its because we do things with the hope of reaping the same, not out of love.
Love is what differentiate seed of the woman from the seed of the serpent, it manifest when Jesus came and the Pharisees were the ones standing against him, because they saw the One greater than them, which is of different source, even though they claimed to serve God, it’s not the true God.
They were typical examples of lust, they lust after the praises of men, and lust after the properties of widows in their midst, they pretend to love God, but hate the one He sent.
This is the kind of love Christ came to eradicate and bring us into a new life of the kingdom; because love is the symbol of God’s kingdom on earth, whoever don’t have it doesn’t belong there.
The way some churches prayed for the death of their enemies is so alarming, indicates they are yet to reach the cross and crucify their carnal nature.
Praying against witches and wizards and their household enemies is against the teaching of Christ; these aren’t different from cult because it’s inside cult they wish destruction for their enemies.

Most churches still operate below God’s standard; they are in rebellion against His word to please their carnal nature; they relate well with those who smile at them and turn to enemies to those who disapprove them.
This is the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, the manifestation of the work of the flesh; good in it is equivalent to wickedness in the dictionary of heaven because it is for selfish reasons.
Love can’t be exercised by those who are yet to attain the image of Christ; we can see it in our gathering in this present generation.
Way of The Overcomers: How To Overcome as A Christian
We must be upgraded to attain the standard of God from the level of Adam to the stature of Christ.
Jesus Christ walked the way of the overcomers by going to the cross and dying for humanity. He prayed for those who nailed him to the cross.
Who among us can give his last meal when there is no other option of survival, or who can offer his only son when there is no hope in giving birth again?
This two people, Abraham and the widow of zarephath show example of love for God and the love for man; love forgive when the offender even refused to apologize, nor repenting, because Jesus forgive His persecutors when He was still hanging on the Cross.
Love won’t allowed revenge on any evil, always believe that vengeance belongs to God.
Lack of love has thrown the church of this generation into slumber, saints are sleeping in battle, that’s why our enemy is able to penetrate into our midst to plant his species among us.
Lack of love is the cause of comparison among the saints, veering them off the way of the overcomers. Hating whoever is above and despising those who are lower to in every area.
It’s only the power of love that elevate us to live above the will of our enemy and give us victory in the battle of life.
We give who asked from us if it’s in the power of our hand.
In God’s sight we are all the same with different assignments, which we will give account on the day of judgement.
No one can win the battle of life without showing love, this is where our enemy, Satan is taking advantages of us.
As Jesus overcame through love, we also must become overcomers by showing love to people, when we love those who hate us, we overcome evil with good.
Jesus wants to elevate us to meet up with His image; He says, love your enemy, pray for those who persecute and despitefully use you, so that you can be the children of your Father in heaven: it’s only those who attain this stature that can be called sons and daughters of God.
Prayer: Father Lord, revive your church in your love, O Lord, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
