Sermon on Judge Not

Matt 7:1 ( Judge not and ye shall not be judged)

This is the passage of the Bible that Christians that still want to remain in their sins without being rebuked always use to justify their actions.

Christians are supposed to judge others in the kingdom and correct those who didn’t understand divine principles, and bring them to order to stop them from extending their pollution to the people in the house.

It’s unbelievers that we are not supposed to judge their judgement is with God, not with us, but in the house we must bring orderliness by correcting rebellion.

We are not in a position to judge the heathen and unbelievers, we too were like them before mercy found us out and were redeemed into the family of God.

There are things going on in the church that if we failed to correct , we will be judged for being accomplice.

Whoever is silence over evil is also consented to it and happy with those doing it, that is what the Bible says.

Judged not has brought decadence to the church and the foul odour is oozing right to the people of the world, which chased them from associating with the kind of Christ we believe.

We must judge righteously to prevent others from falling into the same mistake.

There was a church that allowed first comer ladies to enter the church without covering their heads, when one of the member brought it to the notice of the pastor, the pastor said, they should leave them, that if they see other brethren with scarf, they too will change and follow suits.

But it’s unfortunate that this is not the case, instead of church changing them they are the one changing the church, that’s when all the ladies and the women in church started going to service without covering.

It’s pride that makes many avoid being corrected, they always says, ” don’t judge me” because he is not ready to abide by the rule but want to make others be like them.

God don’t give us authority over unbelievers or heathens, their judgement is in the hand of God, if we refused to correct ourselves and bring normalcy to the church, if God release His judgement, who will be able to bear it?

Judge not is gradually turning our children to the way they are, children copied characters, it’s in their nature, “since sister Dorcas can do it, me too can also do the same” “she is also a servant of God and God isn’t angry with her”.

Had we correct it on time, it won’t affect the spirituality of our wards in the house of God.

Most of those who start this in the house of God are agents of darkness that came to impact worldliness to the saints, it’s unfortunate that they succeeded in their mission, because we refused to correct it on time.

They sold their wares which is latest fashions, their aims is to pollute the sanctuary of God, if saints are not spiritually sensitive.

Heart that is receptive to correction won’t say don’t judge, but will repent so it won’t affect the people in the house.

It might not affect those who are spiritually matured, but what of the incoming generation, whatever they see the elders doing is what they copied, it’s not their fault, because we supposed to preach the gospel with our way of life.

Some Christians judged unbelievers which supposed not to be, they says, ” she will go to hell, leave her, they compared themselves with them and measure themselves with the heathens.

The say, if you don’t go to our church, you won’t be saved” this is not correct attitude to those who are yet to be saved, they may because of your condemnation choose to perish.

We say some derogatory things to those who don’t believe in what we believe, like the Pharisees that condemned the woman who brought ointment to anoint the feet of the Lord, but Jesus didn’t condemned her but justified her in their presence.

Jesus didn’t condemned the woman they caught in adultery, He told those who brought her to cast stone if they’d never commit sin before; all of them went away one after the other, and Jesus was never condemned her but told her to go and sin no more because He was on the way to Calvary to plead her case and pay for her sin.

Unless you’re unbelievers, no one had the right to judge you, but as you’re still associating with the saints, you can be corrected to bring you to your senses before judgement descend.

Judgement is different from correction, the Bible says, ” the child I love I rebuked and reprimanded: God won’t come down to correct you, but sent His servants; if you failed to listen to the voice of Moses and the prophets, definitely you won’t listen if He send someone from the grave to put you right.

Prayers: Father Lord give me the heart that will obey when you send someone to correct me, in Jesus name amen
