2 Kings 5:1 ( Now Naaman, Captain of the host of king of Syria, was a great man with his master and honorable; because of him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria, he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.)
This passage explained situation which a mighty man like Naaman can be and still have a “but” in his life.
This is physical “but” but the spiritual one is more degrading and annoying than the physical, because it’s able to block your way to the presence of God, and prevent you from accessing your possession in the physical realm.
The moment we became born again every handwriting ordinance of the enemy that was standing against us is blotted out and we have access to the presence of God to ask for requests as redeemed man.
But Satan won’t stop there, he looks for any area in our life that cooperates with the flesh, to put us back into his captivity if repentance is not made when it’s necessary, it may also block us from making heaven.
A man that has been translated into God’s kingdom has nothing again to fear, but the moment he backslide and step outside of God’s kingdom, curses from his family will catch up with him and brought him back to zero point.
People are very much aware of physical leprous and avoid it more than the spiritual one; they try to protect themselves from physical blemish that can tarnish their image in society, but keep the spiritual one hidden since no one can see; they forget that hidden sin smells, and the odour attracts demons into a life.
God can’t be bribe with church activities, wherever error is committed, restitution must follow, repentance must take place for the mouth of the accuser to be shut in that area.
Satan knows the reason he was planting “but” in the life of every Christian; it’s the Christians that aren’t aware of his antics because we failed to study the Word and understand the tricks of the devil to avoid it.
A man stole church properties many years ago, he later saw one of the members outside and confess to him about his theft asking for forgiveness.
Instead of him going properly to the pastor of the church and making the confession, he was telling just a member that even if they ask him to refund, he needs to do it properly for heaven to wipe it away, and if in turn he is forgiven, he should thank God for that and amend his ways.
Telling church members is not the proper way for the “but” to be wiped out. That is why its better not to fall into sin because the way out isn’t easy; shame and reproach are involved. He who stole must have thought of the consequences before involving himself.
If he can’t go to the pastor and confess for everyone to hear, the “but” will still speak against him on that day.
Some that divorced after marriage and got married to another has missed the mark, that area is a “but” in their life, Christian are into this not knowing that its a trap set for their feet preventing it from moving forward in their spiritual
journey.
Satan is using our weak point to set traps for the souls, to bring us back in his cage; that’s why we must crucify every carnality at the cross before moving forward.
Those who divorced must go back and restitute with their first wife, Satan made them to do what God hates, and whoever is into it is under the curse of God and also in His opposite side.
God hates divorce with passion; the moment we say, “We do,” and reverse it later, it has subjected our lives to the devil’s manipulation; whoever wants to put separation is fighting against divine institutions.
Whoever also married another one after divorce has committed adultery this what Satan will use to accuse you before the judgement seat.
We can’t do whatever we want after salvation, our actions and thoughts must be subjected to the Word of God; every thought or imagination that’s against the knowledge of God must be subdues and put under the authority of Christ.
It’s because men don’t respect God and also dishonour His word; that’s what put us in this predicament; it’s better to stay unmarried than to marry and divorce later; you might be making some progress after divorce, but your spiritual progress has been arrested, which the enemy will use against you in the future; God says, whoever honors me, I will honour.
Those who preach that once saved is forever saved are yet to understand divine principles; they are supposed to know that if a man is born again, he is a new creature, old things have passed and all things become new; at least old man must be crucified before new things begin to manifest.
Whoever is operating on old life while playing Christianity is playing with fire of hell, the Word of God is given to us as a compass that’ll lead us through to the presence of God.
A woman was prevented from entering heaven at the gate because of seven sticks of matches she took from her neighbor without the neighbors awareness.
She thought that all is well since the woman permitted her to use one out of it, but instead took seven and put it inside her own box.
This is the “but” of Satan in her life, or what shall we say about a woman who took seven thousand naira from her irresponsible husband pocket and used it to buy food that all of them ate, including the husband.
Brethren, the road to heaven is very narrow, it’s only who listen to the voice within and abide fully in the word of God that can scale through, not who take it with levity amd with the Spirit of “it doesn’t matter”.
This “but” is what Satan used to invade life and return one back to family stronghold and have one dominated by his demonic influence if repentance and restitution is not properly made.
Satan is using it as seed that will later germinate and bring forth fruit of death, that’s why we need to deal with every area of lust for us to move forward in this spiritual journey.
Satan is busy searching for life to put “but” it’s our ignorance to the word that’ll make him succeed.
A man who claim to be born again and committed fornication with the wife to be and failed to confess to the church for them to serve the punishment warrants and be forgiven, will later find out that the sin will wait for him in future to affect the life of the children and also their marital life.
God is using this as avenue for us to repent, with danger signal of sin ticking to our soul, calling for repentance before it’s too late; this is the work of conscience, that the sin won’t stand against us on the last day, when our sin will find us out.
Some women snatched another person’s husband and started taking him to church; they can’t use prayer to bribe God; they’re already on the list of Satan for destruction; that’s the “but” that will terminate all their service in the presence of God and render their worship useless.
Hidden and unconfessed sin is a medium of accusations, most of us use prayers and fasting to cover all our short comings, instead of repenting and restitute.
Many Christians are habitual borrowers; they borrowed with the intention of not paying back; this is Satan’s doorway to penetrate into their finances and block their progress; they’re ignorant of what the Bible says, that “I owe no one.” All this debt is “but” that Satan will use against you before the throne of God.
Most of this people are elders and preachers in the house of God, mark of sin that you refused to wipe away will become mark of slavery to the powers of darkness.
No man can fool God, and no one can hide from the devil, the accuser of souls; it’s only those who are under the blood of Jesus that are protected. A Christian that is aborting while in his husband’s house is committing great sacrilege by sacrificing unborn children to Molech. Many Christians sisters are doing this, claiming it’s another form of family planning. The blood of these babies will speak against them unless they confess and repent of it, so that the blood of Christ will counter the accusations.
Every child has destiny to fulfill, by aborting them only means that you’re blocking God from carrying out His program in their life.
The man with leprosy approached a man of God, and he was ordered to bathe in the river Jordan to receive full cleansing; likewise, the fountain of the blood of Jesus Christ is still flowing at Calvary to wash and cleanse from spiritual leprosy of sin, which will want to be a “but” that will terminate our relationship with God.
Every little sin that we don’t take cognizant of are the little fox that spoil the vine, if we don’t get rid of it now and cleanse it, it will boomerang against us on the day of judgement.
Prayer: Father Lord, wipe out every “but” that wants to stand against me on my way to spiritual advancement, in Jesus name, amen
