Isaiah 49:25 ( But thus saith the LORD, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with thee, and I will save thy children.)
There are captives of the mighty, and there are prey of the terrible, and there are also lawful captives. Many belong to at least one of these categories, and if you are in one of these, you already belong among the captives of Satan.
If a man should die in that condition, he will surely regret coming to the world.
This captivity captures nations, territories, and cities with communities. If you want to deliver people in that kind of place, you need to discover the power in charge and put it inside captivity.
There are families inside one form of bondage or the other. This kind results in generational curses and covenants, and any Christian who falls into one of these categories without renouncing all will from religion enters hellfire.
Some were held hostage from their mother’s womb; some became captives while growing up; even though they didn’t realize it till its manifestation in their life without any explanation, they’re still captives of the mighty.
Sin related to environment indicates the powers that’s holding them; most places near rivers or oceans have connections with immorality and drug influence, including strong wine; the power behind their bondage has things to do with this anomaly.
Since the fall of Lucifer from heaven, he was chased to the earth with his angels and occupied territories and space. Due to the rebellion of men in the garden, they took over by directing men’s affairs.
God is saying here that no matter the captivity or bondage, He is ready to deliver us as long as we know the truth that was sent to set us free.
Jesus Christ is the Truth that revealed the truth behind every captivity and also the way out, as long as we’re ready to answer the call of freedom through the message of the truth.
Men are captives to what they are addicted to with self-indulgence; most Christians are not left out of it; they’re in the company of the saints with their eyes closed to the truth that was sent to set them free.
Many people were in Israel when Christ came to reveal Himself and testify to the truth, but they nailed him to the cross because of their hatred for the truth God sent to give them freedom.
That is why Israel is still in the bondage of their foolishness till today; they rejected the truth and were cursed by God.
It’s not the knowledge of the pastors or general overseer that sets one free.
It’s the knowledge of the Holy One and His word; the truth is Jesus Christ Himself, revealed in the flesh, while the Word is the truth written, and the gospel is the truth spoken. All of these are one, whether is spoken or written or in person; the reason for the manifestation of it is for the freedom of the entire human race from the captivity of sin, which led to the bondage of Satan.
If a man sets you free, the freedom can be withdrawn at slight provocations; that makes it temporal. However, if Jesus set you free, you’re free in deed.
Freedom depends on the captives. Most preferred to remain in bondage than to enjoy freedom
Those who consult demonic agents for freedom are only exchanging their owners. While lesser power will be relegated and the stronger take over, which means to exchange bondage with the stronger one.
Freedom through Christ is escape from the way of Satan and transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light; escape from the burdensome to that of Christ with easy yoke and light burden bearable for the souls.
There are people that love bondage more than freedom because of the benefits enjoyed there. Even if the prison door is opened, they’ll prefer staying, some love pity party which the bondage brings, they want men to pity them, they don’t want true freedom.
Their flesh has cooperated with their bondage; they thought true freedom was captivity.
Flesh is the terrible master that has taken humanity captive; those who are in its bondage thought those who are truly free are in bondage. Those who are addicted to make-up and fake appearances think of those who dress naturally and are in bondage.
It’s because they’re under the captivity of their flesh, which the devil used to cage them till he harvested their souls.
It’s only the truth about Christ and what he has done to destroy the power of the flesh that can set humanity free from its bondage.
We were formerly recruited into the service of Satan through the flesh, but Jesus redemption brought us over to obey the Word of God without argument.
Either we remain in Satanic bondage or we shift to the Lord’s side; no one is on middle ground.
A lady was looking for fruit of the womb and went to a pastor who told her that she belongs to the marine world; unless she repents, there is no solution to her barreness.
This lady admitted to it, but she wants to remain in Satan’s service and still obtain a gift from God.
This is the situation of many Christians today, wanting to be in Satan’s service and still wanting to enjoy the grace of God. Remember, no one can serve two masters.
That is why those who seek deliverance from the powers of darkness are exchanging their bondage for the higher ones; they postpone their evil days to the future because they’re yet to overcome the flesh.
It’s ignorance of who Christ is that is what makes man tie down in the prison of darkness. There was a story I heard many years ago.
There was a president of a nation going about prisons with the intention of giving some prisoners presidential pardon.
He entered into one cell and asked the prisoners if he wanted to receive freedom, but the prisoners nonchalant attitude put him off and rejected the offer of their president.
After the man left, a warder came to the prisoner’s cell and asked if he knew the man, but the man said he didn’t know, and then he was told that, That is our president; you missed the day of your deliverance.
Many of us are doing it to Christ, who came down from heaven and put on the image of man to free us from the shackles of sin, flesh, and Satan. We neglected the great deliverance that was presented to us on the platter of His blood because we don’t know Him and we refused to know him.
He reveals himself to whoever desires to know Him, which will guarantee their freedom from the shackles of sin and flesh that put them in captivity.
