There is a contest that has been going on since ages between God and baal, which also involves their prophets and their followers.
1 king 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people and said, how long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.)
The sin of man gave Satan permission to intrude into their affairs and plant his species among human beings that are committed to his will and purpose.
God chose the Israelites as the carriers of His mantle over the world; He brought them out of slavery with a mighty hand to set them on their journey to the promised land.
Satan brought his own method by introducing golden calves to represent him and his people among them, but fortunately Moses came as the servant of the Most High to frustrate his devices and burn down the golden calves.
Jezebel came from an idolatrous nation to become queen in Israel just to pollute the order of God and brought the prophets of Baal that were dining on their king’s table; but thank God for the prophet of God, Elijah, who represents the presence of God: he organized a contest on Mount Carmel to show the supremacy of God over small gods; Baal failed at that moment, and all his prophets were killed by Elijah to bring orderliness to the land.
It’s unfortunate that this thing is still going on in our generation when most so-called prophets of God have gone after Baal and introduced it to the church of God in the name of God.
Any church that lights candles for prayers or burns incense in the name of rendering service to God is doing it for Baal, not God.
They operate in the church, but by their fruit they shall be known; they scattered themselves among the people of God to pollute their worship; it’s by discernment of spirit they shall be exposed.
God reigns supreme among His people; He rules by the word of His power; any church that doesn’t honour His word by disobeying it and offering sacrifice as a substitute is not giving honour to God but to Baal.
Prophets of Baal are always much more than the prophet of God; holiness is strange to their nature; they used prayers to appease God instead of working in justice and righteousness; that’s the habitation of His throne.
Baal accepts any conditions; a sinner that doesn’t want to repent can be ordained as a prophet and will still see vision to deceive the ignorant.
Many churches are organised for this purpose to bring the program of baal to fulfilment in the lives of individuals and turn them into candidates of hell in the end.
Most Christians are running after Baal in the name of signs and wonders; it’s the short cut way to receive their miracle without following the true way, but unfortunately for them, it’s not the Father of the Lord Jesus that answers their prayers; their answer came from another realm, which doesn’t need righteousness to follow God.
You can identify them by their fruit and their ways; they’re working contrary to the law of God; they burn incense to invoke their god and light up candles to seek his presence; it’s not God that is on high that they had relationships with, but the one that sits above the stars of God, pretending to be the most high.
Most Christians will reach the gate of heaven before they discover that they served wrong all this while, but it would have been too late by then.
Satan is no longer hidden, but it’s Christians who refused to recognise his activities because they’re carried away by their carnal demands that block their eyes from seeing the reality before them.
Without discernment of spirit, most Christians will fall into their enemy’s devices; the church will accommodate the prophets of Baal because of their financial contributions to the church, not knowing that it is the antics of Satan to secure his position within Christian organisation and bring his purpose to pass.
Jesus Christ has promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail over the church of God. As Satan is sending his minions to disorganized divine order, God is sending his men to reveal his mission and scatter it.
Most churches had been bought over by the prophets of Baal; they used prayers to appease God and present sacrifice instead of being obedient to the law of God; this is their characteristic in the church of God.
Any church that doesn’t care about your salvation but promises you miracles has another god that answers their prayers. Will you opt for the things of the world in exchange for your soul?
What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his souls? What will you use in exchange for your precious soul?
The aim of satan for contesting with God is to fight for the souls of men; he is using miracles signed and wonder to deceive them into his trap for the exchange of their souls.
Even anti-Christ will do miracle more than the prophets of Baal, just to gain dominance over every soul that’ll worship him; miracle signs and wonder is not the criteria of divine presence, wherever justice and righteousness reign, that is where the throne of God is.
The prophets of Baal called down their god, but he refused to answer because Baal can’t manifest where God reigns supreme; they might have been calling him before that he answered, but the moment the LORD of host appeared, he disappeared.
We need to bring the presence of God down into our midst inorder to frustrate the manifestation of strange gods, that is the only solution to counter every evil manifestation in our midst: “the LORD is in this place, let every knee bow down before Him”.
Elijah brought down divine presence and baal disappeared in a moment; when Moses left for the mountain, the children of Israel were able to mould calves to represent God’s presence.
God want His people to always stand before Him in humility and respect, with praises to His name; anyone representing Satan will have no where to stay, That’s why Jesus Christ came to establish His kingdom on earth to dismantle and pull down the stronghold of darkness.
When the presence of God appears in the Dagon Temple, the god of philistine collapses and loses its head, devil can’t stand the presence of God in a place where righteousness and justice are established, God will surely manifest and dislodge whatever is competing with Him.
Prayer: Father lord, manifest your presence now in our midst; that is all we need in the church this time, in Jesus Christ name, amen
