Satan has indeed battered many people before coming to Christ; even those who are yet to be battered to some degree are still languishing in the cage of the devil, looking for a way out.
Devil plans to destroy everyone before their eyes open to the truth; it’s the mercy of God that is keeping satan at bay in the affairs of human beings that wouldn’t allow us to be devoured.
The only power that was given to keep Satan perpetually under our feet is the power of adoption.
This power is released at redemption but it depends on us to utilise it and reach the level of Christ maturity to become true sons and daughters of God.
There was a lady who came for counselling; she was looking for a way out of her unending predicament; even though she gave her life to Christ at a tender age, she was still feeling Satan’s hand in her life and her business.
Then I told her that all she needs is to receive the spirit of adoption because, by then, she was still keeping male friends even though she was married.
But she believes in prayers without the word of God, she believes that everything is possible with prayers even though you’re not living according to the written word of God.
This kind of people is still in the level of servanthood in the kingdom; their faith is yet to be upgraded to sonship.
Servants in the house of the prodigal son had more than enough to eat and remain; provisions are not the seal of adoption. Even though some servants receive more provisions than some children that are yet to have their understanding open because they work faithfully in the house.
Most Christians are deceived by this and refuse to press further to possess what belongs to them.
Our possession in God is not only in food and drinks but in power and righteousness in the power of the holy ghost.
Call is for many but adoption is for few who can press forward to receive it.
How do you associate yourself with God when you’re not ready to live in His Will?
You walk in disobedience against His ordinances and works to please yourself and still claim to have relationships with the Holy One of Israel.
You are working in the vineyard of God without fully repenting of your sin; you keep malice and grudge against those who are trying to put you right.
You still have boyfriends and girlfriends who warm your bed and still come and sing for God as choir members.
This kind of Christian is still under the dominion of Satan; they’re still padlocked by sin and iniquity that won’t let them go; how will they trample on the powers of their enemy?
It’s the power of adoption that gave you keys to the kingdom. To become an heir to Christ and share the inheritance with Him, we must grow up and reach His stature .
We need to crucify our old nature at Calvary to receive a new nature that will qualify us as the son of the Father.
Many Christians still believe that it’s only through prayers and fasting that we can see the face of God without obeying his commandments; this is the lie of the devil to keep man perpetually in his cage.
Even witches and wizards do pray. Will you say they’re praying to God who they refuse to honour? Who knows if the prayers you’re praying without the backing of the word don’t go to the devil?
That is why satan is sending agents from the marine world to produce miracles in the absence of the word of God, to deceive souls to His sides and seal them for hell.
The power of adoption is what Christ came to give by dying to take our life and give us His own to serve as God’s ambassador among the heathen.
Satan knows those who carry this power, but they don’t know themselves; those who carry this power may not be well known to the world or famous but heaven knows them, and the powers of darkness recognize them.
Whoever touches them touches the apple of God’s eyes and will surely invoke the wrath of God.
This is the power that gives you authority over the earth under the lordship of Christ; even satan is afraid to mention their names in his gathering, for they bear the mark and the seal of Christ.
We need to upgrade to this level; mediocre Christians won’t get us anywhere; this is the time we need this power most as the band of hell is increasing daily; we need this power to silence them and put their actions on hold over nations and cities.
It’s this power that won’t allow the mark of satan to be found in believers; the Bible says that the rod of the wicked should not fall on the lot of the righteous.
Whatever happens, that doesn’t bring glory to God is the rod of the wicked; if care is not taken, it may draw you back to the world and bring you under the power of sin again.
We need to run into a haven, which is the name of Christ; that is where God will keep us in perfect peace in His family and deliver us from the enemy who is roaming about looking for who to devour.
The power of adoption makes you live in heaven on earth and above every hurdle of darkness that is trying to pull down the elects of God.
Prayer: Father lord take me to the Cross and have my flesh buried there and in turn give me the new nature of heaven in Jesus name. Amen!
