What Does Our Birthright As Christians Mean?
Our birthright as Christians is one of the most important thing that man enjoy in his family line, most people fight any intruder that want to infiltrate their inheritance, even many try killing each other so they can keep it forever.
Every one who comes to the family of God has inheritance waiting for him as a birthday present and a welcome gift before God and His holy angels.
As we transferred into the family of God, He offer nothing but Himself, but he need our cooperation to take His rightful place in our life.
There is no inheritance that is greater than this on earth; this is what Abraham looked for that made him leave his family behind to a strange land. As a result of this, he became the father of faith to those who believe.
God took everything from Job, but His presence never left him, because he has God as his only inheritance, and God restored everything back in twice fold.
Had everyone who fought over earthly heritage know this, they would have gave everything up to possess the most precious thing on earth.
The heritage of the world belongs to the world and will perish with it; it’s only God that lasts for ever; it’s inside of Him that eternity dwells.
Importance Of Our Birthright As Christians
- Our birthright is our pass code to His presence; without Him, we don’t have life and still remain among the dead. Jacob knew the importance of earthly birth, right? That is why he deceived his brother to take it by offering a plate of lentils in return. How much more of our heavenly heritage that is hidden inside God? The devil knows this. That is why he is standing on the wayside to deceive those who despise their own out of their possession, to exchange it for what doesn’t have eternal value.
- The day we chose God, we already abandoned what is most important to us and all what make the world spin in return to gain what the world couldn’t have. Had many Christians know this, they wouldn’t be fretting when God removed somethings from their life, because those are the things that is preventing us from having His fullness.
It’s unfortunate and pathetic that many Christians are ignorant of this and trades it off for something that doesn’t matter thereby lost their value in the kingdom of God.
Many trade their birthright for worldly fame and riches, while many trade it for carnal pleasure on the altar of Molech.
Some trade their own for food that perishes, not minding the consequences; Jesus said, What does man profit after he gains the whole world and loses his soul? What will he use in exchange for his soul?
Satan knows what we carries, it’s the people of God that don’t know, that’s why they despised it and lose it in the market square of life; which make their life empty and become the habitation of evil spirits and every abominable beast of the earth.
Whatever God gives, He give in abundant, he gave Solomon wisdom and wealth and no one supercede him before and after all over the earth.
He gave Hannah son and the son became the first person to occupy the position of prophet, priest and ruler in Israel.
It’s those who have God as their birthright that will enjoy this great benefit of salvation, not those who choose Him as second fiddle.
When God Becomes Your Birth Right As A Christian
- When God becomes your birthright, you will rule in the midst of your enemy and take over the spiritual authority of your environment. God became the heritage of the Levites; they were richer than all their brethren that had inheritance in the land.
God wants to give Himself, but He want our absolute surrender to His authority, whatever that’s left over will become stumbling block for Him having preeminence.
Many Christians looked into God for divine provision of their daily needs, but not the provision of Himself, he is more than daily need, he want to give Himself, but it depends on us.
God wants to take over all, including the spirit, soul and body; this is where clashes arise, we want Him in our spirit, but our souls belong to the cares of the world and deception of riches.
Our body is under our control, we do to it whatever we desire, how do we expect Him to have absolute control?
Many Christians despise their birthright and trade it off for a morsel of bread. Christians who patronize herbalists or spiritualists in the face of small challenges or trials don’t know what they have; had they known, they would have attracted the herbalists to themselves that’ll come to seek deliverance from them.
Potency of Walking In The Reality of Your Birthright As Christians
Most Christians don’t know the power they carried, that is why they run from one house to the other, running from witches and wizards in the community.

Had they know that what is inside of them is greater than the one that is in the world, they would have became headache for demons in their environment.
How can a Christian that is loaded with divine presence be afraid of the one that carries the presence of serpent and scorpions, even no witchcraft birds can stand in His presence?
Hundreds of Baal can’t withstand the God of Elijah, neither dagon of Philistines can stay with the ark of covenant in the same house, they will all bow in the presence of the Lord of host that sit among the cherubim.
