The sermon for today talks about God’s divine Investment to humanity
John 3:16 ( For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.)
God has business on earth, and His divine investment is the souls of men, he invested in it with the blood of His only begotten son, that he might bring men to repentance and come in alliance with the plan of God for their lives.
Had the Church been investing in human resources other than buildings, they would have taken the gospel to the uttermost part of the world, including the areas that the gospel is forbidden.
The apostles of old knew the importance of investing in God’s business, they forsook everything for the sake of the kingdom and made others to follow in their steps, by bringing all their resources to the feet of the apostles.
They forsake their earthly resources to seek things that is greater and have eternal value, that is their treasure in heaven.
Where do you keep your treasure? Are you keeping it for the unborn children children, and for the forth to fifth generation of the children that will come from your loins, while souls are famished for the absence of physical and spiritual foods?
This is eternal business that was delegated to us as the heirs of salvation, God bless His people to take care of his business and bring men to the knowledge of God through the works of charity.
The Message of salvation is to care for the people in the fold and the lost in our society, but it’s unfortunate that the leaders over the heritage of God only care for themselves by compromising with the world.
But the Lord of the House will appear one day and apportion them with unbelievers, by casting them out with the infidels .
There is a stage you will reach in life that you become God’s returns in the life of others, everything given to you must be deposited into the treasure of God in heaven, by using it to care for others, this is the purpose for living and the purpose for regeneration.
The world cares only for its resources, likewise the people of the kingdom cares for heaven’s investment.
This is the difference between the kingdom of God and that of the world, we live for each other to bring souls to the knowledge of Christ through our natural and spiritual gifts.
Those who used their talents to bring profits will receive much greater, but those who hide their own will regret ever doing it, for it shall be taken from them and handed over to those who utilize their own for the purpose of the kingdom.
Jesus told that man that came to Him for the way to sell all what he had and give it to the poor, it’s to transfer his earthly possession for the purpose of the kingdom, but he was unable to do so, he preferred keeping it than invest it in God’s business; by now he would have understood, but its too late.
The prophets of old showed us the example on how to live, they didn’t possess earthly heritage, but used their time and energy for the kingdom, and their name never perished on the lips of mankind.
Jesus Christ also gave us example by releasing Himself to the last drop of His blood on the cross to salvage us from the shackles of darkness and bring us over to the light of God.
The treasure God deposited in us can only be found in Him, it’s when we relocate back to his presence that we find our purpose and utilize it for his use.
Souls are perishing every day, and we keep on multiplying things for ourselves and for our future generations, those who built churches for themselves are planning to hand it over to their children, whereas church belong to God only, how will they invest their money into people’s life, when they can’t hand over building to God?
One man said, the most richest place on earth is the cemetery, that is where songs were buried and the burial place of unwritten books, and unpreached sermons.
It’s because many compromise their gifts on the altar of Mammon and forsake the purpose they were created, that is why enemy stole it from them and diverted it for it’s own use.
Prayer: Father Lord, do not let me come to the world in vain, in Jesus name amen
